As President and Owner of Timberline Landscapes LLC, Brian is committed to delivering exceptional landscape services to his fellow native St. Louisans with professionalism and attention to detail. With each project, Brian challenges the Team to incorporate practical and innovative sustainable elements in beautiful landscape designs and renovations. Brian currently lives in Kirkwood with wife Katie and adorable children Eva and Jack.

Keeping Things in Tip Top Shape

Weeding – this time of year those pesky weeds will want to put out their seeds to produce more of the same pesky weeds to torment you in the future. Keep weeding to prevent their reappearance this fall or next spring!

Trimming Perennials – trim back your perennials. If there are seeds you can put them in an envelope, label what seeds are inside and seal it. Store them in an airtight container in a cool, dark, dry location. The seeds can be sown next spring. You can plant them directly in the garden, or get a jump on the season and start them early indoors.

Deadheading Annuals – If you want your flowers to continue to send out new blooms, you have to deadhead them to keep them from going to seed. You should also prune damaged and tired stems.

Watering – Watering Reminder Highlights include
1) Check all plants regularly
2) Slow, deep watering is preferred
3) If the soil is moist, do not water
4) Plant health is closely related to water requirements
5) Maintain a 2 1/2″ mulch layer
